Barefooting it at Mooloolaba Beach
For the second of my “advent posts” of favourite exercise spots, I suggest a barefoot walk (or run) on Mooloolaba Beach.
The Sunshine Coast isn’t short of beautiful beaches as we know, so it is always difficult to pick favourites. However for me, Mooloolaba Beach will always hold special memories. It was walking along this beach, toes in the sand that I conceived Silvergrey and it has been during many a walk along that beach that the idea evolved.
My favourite time is early morning, just after sunrise at low tide. Park on the front and join the beach at the rocks. Shoes off and then just enjoy the moment. It only takes about 20 minutes to get along to the pier at the end but walking on the sand tones and shapes the legs, while the perfect sand softens the skin on the feet.
