Calculating your Heart Rate
Here is a simple trick taught to me by one of my fitness friends for calculating your maximum heart rate. Simply subtract your age from 220.
For example I am still 21 ( I wish ) so my estimated maximum heart rate is 220 – 21 which is 199!
Your maximum heart rate is important as you can use this as a means to working out how hard you are performing when exercising. For cardio strengthening and weight loss you should be aiming to work at between 60% – 85% of your maximal heart rate.
If your heart rate is higher then you are risking overdoing it.
A simple trick I know but helpful.
