Easy circuits around the Mary Caincross Scenic Reserve
I still get a tingle when I look at the Glass House Mountains. If you saw them in a movie backdrop, you would think it was CGI ! First time visitors to the Coast are always blown away by their beauty and I still am each time I visit.
One of my favourite spots in the hinterland is the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. I love the cafe there both for its coffee and it’s homemade sausage rolls. However before indulging in such treats, I always try to get a walk in. The park is perfect for that, even if it is just gentle exercise.
The circuit takes about 40 mins to walk around so perfect for those looking for a less strenuous work out and ideal for a recovery day, helping to loosen those leg muscles off. Early morning when the birds are in good voice and the red legged pademelons are stirring, the setting is magical. One or two circuits around the park keeps the pastry of the hips!
