Mooloolaba to Cotton Tree run
Even on a wet weekend like today, a quick run clears the head.
Another personal favourite of mine. A brisk run up Alex Hill along the path to Cotton Tree followed by a return trip back along the beach. Either walk or run the return leg, whatever suits.
Leaving Mooloolaba from the top end of the Esplanade you are met with the gentle climb up to the HMAS Brisbane memorial before heading down the bank to the Alex Surf Club. From there the path meanders behind the beach taking you along to the Cotton Tree caravan park. At a reasonable pace it should take no more than 20 mins.
When returning I like to head along the beach before tackling the hill from the reverse side. It reminds me of the beauty of the Coast (even on days like today) and why so many of us choose to live and exercise here.
You of course finish up back in Mooloolaba. Plenty of refreshment spots to choose from there.
