Well Summer and Xmas is nearly upon us so I thought it might be interest to run an “advent calendar” of favourite exercise spots on the Sunshine Coast. I stress I am not saying any are better than others – only some of my personal favourites. All great in their own way and for their own forms of exercise.
Number one – Noosa National Park.
With the holiday season this will start to get busy but there can be few better spots than this for burning off Christmas over indulgence or working up an appetite for the next feast.
There are fewer walks on earth more beautiful than this one. Start at the car park and simply follow the coastal path as far as you wish. For those wanting a longer walk follow the path all the way to Sunshine Beach and then catch the bus back. It will take around 2 and a half hours at a leisurely pace.
Many walk to Hell’s Gates and turn back. This takes around 60 minutes each way. For the fitter it offers a great place for a trail run.
I have attached below a link to the National Parks Website below.
I have also put the Tripadvisor link on which shows you what others think.
Don’t forget to watch for dolphins, turtles and humpback whales (during June to November) in the water and koalas in the trees.
