Top 3 Fat Burning Tips
As I am always on the lookout for tips (and cheats) to burn that unwanted fat, I spend a fair bit of time reading into the subject.
Each year I find shifting those extra kilos a little harder which is one of the consequences of getting a little older. One of the side effects of aging is that you lose the ability to burn that fat as perhaps as
easily as you did when in those roaring twenties.
Obviously there are lots of exercise plans and diets out there to follow but a generally the three tips below seem to reoccur in most suggestions of many of the experts. I thought I would share them.
Tip One: Favour interval training over longer cardio sessions. There are a number of reports that claim 20 minutes of interval training three times per week were able to burn more calories than during 40 minutes of long, slow cardio. Ditching those long treadmill sessions in favour of boot camp is likely to deliver fat burning results.
Tip Two: Pick up those weights. Introducing resistance training to build muscle mass means the body works harder post exercise. This is particularly important as you get older. Your body loses muscle after 40 unless you exercise to retain it. Use it or lose it. Keep the ‘bingo wings’ at bay.
Tip Three: Eat a healthy balanced diet. Stay away from those processed foods and take in those carbs in moderation. Pack that protein (it curbs hunger) and don’t shy away from the ‘healthy’ fats. Find an eating pattern that works for you and try not to snack too much.
Keeping these three tips in mind should assist with that fat burn.
